Grant resources

The following is a list of grant resources. Please follow the links for more information!

  • Variety – The Children’s Charity – Provides adaptive trikes, scooters and AAC devices to children and young adults (ages 3-21) in PA diagnosed with a physical, mental, and/or sensory disability.
  • Andrews Gift – Families and individuals living in Dauphin, Cumberland, Perry, Lebanon & Lancaster Counties may apply for grant money to be used for things that directly improve the life of an autistic person. They provide: iPads, fitness, summer camps, horseback riding, sensory equipment, basic human needs: beds, safety gates & window bars.
  • United Healthcare Children’s Foundation – UHCCF grants help with medical expenses for children (16 or younger) that are not covered, or not fully covered, by a family’s commercial health insurance.
  • Small Steps in Speech – Small Steps in Speech provides grants to help children and young adults (ages 3-22) with diagnosed speech and/or language disorders afford AAC and speech therapies.
  • The Orange Effect Foundation – The Orange Effect Foundation is a 501(c)3 foundation that empowers children and young adults (21 and younger) with speech disorders to effectively communicate through technology and speech therapy. 
  • UCP Changing Hands Program – Changing Hands is an equipment exchange program that provides restored and refurbished home medical equipment to Pennsylvania residents of all ages.  Plus, they have a certified Assistive Technology Specialist on hand to offer demonstrations and to assist you in determining what equipment best meets your needs.
  • Chive Charities – Chive Charities supports underserved veterans, military families, first responders, and rare medical diagnosees with life-changing grants, as well as 501c3 nonprofit organizations serving those populations. They provide grants for a wide variety of needs including sensory equipment, service dogs, and even therapy room builds.  Chive Charities aims to fill the gaps that insurance and other resources cannot.
