The Neurodiveristy global movement involves the concept that people experience and interact with the world around them in many different ways; there is no one “right” way of thinking, learning, and behaving, and differences should not be viewed as a deficit.

Neurodiverse Network, Inc. is new nonprofit organization in the Harrisburg,  Pennsylvania area focused on providing advocacy, education, resources, and bringing a sense of community to neurodivergent individuals and their families, in order to offer them a better quality of life.

Neurodiverse Network has a location in New Cumberland where we provide a safe space where people can meet for peer support, education, social events, kid and caregiver events, and much more. Within the sensory-conscious space, we offer a playroom with equipment for people of all ages. We also provide a wide array of sensory tools, life skill improvement aids, calming items, books, and other educational information. We are scheduling regular events in our space, creating a strong and stable community for the neurodiverse individuals in our area and their families and friends.

Yes! We offer private tours of the facility. Please email leann@ndnet.com for more information.

Please check out our event calendar for current program listings. We don’t have a full time staff, yet, so operating hours are limited to our pre-scheduled programs or by making an appointment via email.

There is FREE street parking and lot parking available. Please see information above the FAQs section.

Service animals are permitted, but due to our rental agreement, we are not allowed to have personal pets on the property. Our director has a service dog named Suzie who is usually on site working for her. Suzie is a medium sized goldendoodle.

We are a certified nonprofit community center offering programs to our local members. We are not licensed as a school or a childcare facility. All of our programs are offered on a seasonal schedule and are ever changing based on the feedback of the community.

All of our instructors that work with children (without parents present) have background checks, state clearances, and CPR certification. More information about them can be found on the individual program pages!

All free programs, such as support groups and social clubs (non paid activities only) are led by peers and a guardian will remain with child during event.

We do not offer refunds for regularly scheduled sessions. We do allow you to use past payments to cover an upcoming class. You can also choose for that fee to be donated to our organization.

The fees you pay to attend a class help to cover the cost of goods needed, insurance, and instructors’ fees, as well as operation and insurance costs. Any additional profits are returned to the organization as a donation.

As a new organization, we have not received grant funding to provide scholarships at this time. In the future we plan to offer financial assistance programs and other opportunities for our members. We do offer free monthly support groups, social events, and more on our calendar.

Yes! Neurodiverse Network has a calendar of events, some grouped by age, along with mixed age events to grow our community! Our sensory gym, library, and all tools in the center will be available for children, teens, and adults to use.

We encourage you to bring your own snacks and drinks. However we do have a self serve area that has coffee, tea,  and water . We occasionally get snack foods and beverages donated, so there is typically a variety of complimentary refreshments available during programs.

Yes! Our support groups, social events, and holiday programs are always free and inclusive to all!

We hope to offer more free opportunities, as we become more established. We are open to ideas.

Please reach out to volunteers@ndnet.org, if you would be interested in facilitating a new program.

The Neurodiverse Network center will not be affiliated with any health care services and will not require a diagnosis or any proof of medical necessity to be a member. We are hoping to have appropriate funding to allow all members to enter for free; if we need to institute a a monthly membership fee, it will be low cost.

Yes! With our Neuro-Affirming Practices Educational Program, we can teach you how to make your business more inclusive to someone with an invisible disability through adaptations and understanding. Find out more!

We appreciate any donation to our nonprofit organization but are particularly grateful for monthly contributions and yearly pledges, as it will help us have better predictions for our future budget. Neurodiverse Network hopes to use our proceeds to keep the center free of cost to our members and even be able to give back to them directly via grants and gifting! If you or your organization would like to donate goods or services please contact Hello@ndnet.org.
