  • Alder Health Center – Offering LGBTQ+ affirming mental health care and services.
  • Community Services Group (CSG) – Local medical facility that offers counseling and other services to people diagnosed with an intellectual disability and other mental health conditions.
  • Valley Counseling Center – VCC specializes in providing counseling and therapy for children, teens, young adults, adults, and their families to empower everyone to a bright future. Accepts most major insurance.
  • CADD – Medical Center that offers diagnostic & care services in Lancaster
  • Progress Family Care Harrisburg Practice that specializes in comprehensive neuropsychological and psychological assessment services for children and adults by Dr. Carla Townsey.
  • Children Dyslexia Center – Team of specialists that Offer services to children in the Harrisburg area diagnosed with dyslexia. Second Location in Lancaster
  • Flourish Neuropsychology LLC – Jyssica Seebeck, PhD -Neurophsych assessment for kids and adults 
  • Dr. Nancy Patrick – Talk Therapy services for autistic adults & kids. 

Resources & Organizations For ND Individuals

  • The Autism Society Of Greater Harrisburg Local organization that offers resources to individuals diagnosed with autism.
  • Beyond Book Smart(National) Virtual coaching for individuals with Adhd & executive Function struggles.
  • ASERT (Autism Services Education Resources & Training)-is a statewide partnership that provides streamlined access to information for Pennsylvanians living with autism. ASERT provides resources for individuals with autism, parents and caregivers, family members and the community.
  • Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN)(National) A nonprofit organization run by and for autistic people. ASAN is a national grassroots disability rights organization for the autistic community.
  • Autistic Women & Nonbinary Network (AWN) (National) Provides community support, and resources for Autistic women, girls, transfeminine and transmasculine nonbinary people, trans people of all genders, Two Spirit people, and all people of marginalized genders or of no gender.
  • International Dyslexia Association – PA Dyslexia Support Groups & Resources.
  • Disability Pride – Promotes visibility and cultivates the pride felt within our community as we advocate for an inclusive world.  Disability Pride PA produces Disability Pride events, teaches disability access and inclusion through workshops, presentations, and events year round.  As well as provides opportunities for disabled people to intern/work with Disability Pride PA and supports disabled artists through workshops, events, material scholarships, and as a networking resource.
  • PA Tourette Syndrome Alliance (PATSA) Promotes awareness and acceptance, provides education, and assists families, schools and communities while advocating for individuals with TS.

Employment Resources    

  • Vocational Rehabilitation Services – OVR provides services to eligible individuals with disabilities to help them obtain and maintain employment.
  • Neurodiversity Employment Network – An organization in the greater Philadelphia area to connect job seekers, employers, educators, and service providers to enable neurodivergent individuals to gain meaningful employment.
  • CAI Neurodiverse Solutions – Offering a hiring process that removes the barriers to employment for neurodivergent individuals
  • ACRES Project –An organization in State College providing vocational, social, and educational opportunities for neurodivergent people.

Adult Resources 

  • Adult Facebook Group – A private Facebook group for Neurodiverse Adults living near Harrisburg, PA .
  • Spectrum Friends -Group for autstic adults to meet and connect once a month at Giant in Camp Hill, PA.
  • ACRES Project –An organization in State College providing vocational, social, and educational opportunities for neurodivergent people.
  • Therapy & Counseling Services -Office in Camp Hill that will see adult clients for Occupational or Feeding Therapy Services.  They also have education and group sessions!
  • OT & Me – Occupational Therapy office owned by Joanna Jacobs. She sees primarily children but will see adult clients for OT or executive function skill improvement! 
  • Discover Pelvic Health and Wellness – Megan Mill MPT, offers pelvic floor support treatment for incontinence, chronic low back/hip pain, low muscle tone, etc. She Helps patients of any age, and understands neurological differences. 
  • Julianne Ortiz PA LPC –Therapist specializing in neurodiversity.

Children Resources 

  • Arc of Cumberland & Perry Co. – Provides services to children diagnosed with disabilities and their families In Cumberland and Perry County.
  • Therapy & Counseling Services Local Neurodivergent Owned OT office & non profit that offer occupational therapy, speech therapy,  free and low cost community programs and so much more! 
  • Growing In MotionA pediatric occupational therapy and speech therapy clinic located in Camp Hill, PA that seeks to provide families and children who have sensory, academic, motor, and social-emotional difficulties with highly specialized therapy services. Offers social groups for their clients.
  • OT & Me –Occupational therapy and support for children and adults, including events and opportunities to develop social skills. This office takes self pay and accepts insurance.
  • Capital Area Intermediate Unit – State Services for preschool and pre-K aged children who qualify.
  • PA Association of Intermediate Units -State Services available for children under 3 who qualify
  • Central PA Therapy Connections LLC (Jamie Hunter) – An Office in Hummelstown PA offering Pediatric Screening for children with possible communication, hearing, and/or feeding and swallowing disorders. They offer recommendations and therapy services.  They accept some insurances but are currently not taking medical assistance.
  • Meliora Health (Cheryl tierney) – Telehealth only. Mental health services for 5-25 ages.  Can do children and teen neurodevelopmental assessments in as little as 3 weeks time.
  • Laurel life – Trauma-informed care. Their team provides school-based programs, Transition Classrooms, and mental and behavioral health services that help children and families overcome adversity and be their best selves.
  • The Peal Center  – Located in the Pittsburgh area, they help to educate and empower families , youth and young adults with disabilities and special health care needs to live their best life .

  • Recovery International(National) A virtual and in-person resource for those seeking recovery and anger management to live a more fulfilling life.

  • Mountain Laurel Catering – Neuro-affirming catering and hiring opportunites .
  • Nour – neurodivergent friendly coffee shop , hires ND adults. 
  • Changing Hands – An equipment exchange program that provides restored and refurbished home medical equipment to PA residents of all ages.
  • 4 paws 4 a cause – 4 Paws 4 A Cause exists to assist the adult (18 years+), disabled community in selecting, assessing, training, and certifying their privately owned dogs in the areas of General Obedience, Public Access and Individualized Disability and assistance tasks towards the certification as a service dog.  All training and resources are provided free of charge.
  • Horizons Group Unlimited – local art studio that offers classes, open studio sessions, creative gatherings, a gallery program and more. They also host a monthly bowling meet up . 
  • American Special Hockey AssociationThe American Special Hockey Association (ASHA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving those with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities through the sport of hockey. The local teams are Hershey Heroes Hockey and York Polar Bears. 
  • Museums 4 All  -Families receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits) can gain free or reduced admission to more than 1,200 museums throughout the United States simply by presenting their EBT card and a photo ID.
  • All in Theatre  Inclusive Youth Theatre program. 
  • Red Strikers  Bowling Club for people with special needs in Harrisburg PA. 
  • Empowered Music – Inclusive studio for music education and lessons.
  • Life Print – Expand language and communication access by learning ASL (American Sign Language) from a Deaf educator for free. 
  • Libby – A free library app that improves accessibility by delivering books, magazines, and audiobooks to your phone or tablet.
